I LOVE MY JOB

HELLO FRIENDS, MY NAME IS TENCHITA THE CLOWN.

I’m originally from Cali, a beautiful city in Colombia. I have enjoyed working with kids throughout my whole life. I started out my career in Colombia as a Preschool teacher, where I worked from 1986 to 1999. In 1999, I decided to move to the United States in order to expand my horizons and give a better life to my children. In Colombia I had already done several parties as a clown, and I decided to give it a chance in the United States as well.  After starting out as a clown here and being able to interact once again with kids of all ages I fell in love with being a clown and decided to improve my performance in order to better satisfy my clients. My biggest joy of being a clown is being able to see the smiling faces in each kid that I make laugh with my games, jokes, animal balloons, or face paintings.  One of my favorite parts of being a clown is the fact that every party is different and extremely special. Being able to interact with different families, different cultures, different traditions, and different kids has taught me that every party that I do has to be different and unique in order to meet the needs of my client. It is the fact that I love doing my job, what makes me successful at what I do.

I began my career as a clown is 1993, after I got “voluntold” by a group of friends at the preschool that I taught at to serve as the clown for an event we were having, after the original clown had canceled at the last minute. At first I was reluctant to give it a try, but my coworkers convinced me to give it a try and even provided the clown costume and makeup for me. At soon as I began the party, I instantly fell in love with it. I felt comfortable, excited, and fortunate to be able to put a smile in every kid in that event. After that day, Tenchita the Clown was born. From that party, many of the coworkers began hiring me to entertain their kid’s parties, and from those came more and more contracts. In 1999, after arriving to New York City I continued my Career as a clown, furthering my techniques and expanding my horizons to a brand new group of clientele. Once again Tenchita the Clown was a success. In 2004 I moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where I have continued to bring the joy of Tenchita the Clown to over 100 different parties.

Although I live in Kissimmee, if you decide to invite me to your party, I will be there (Osceola County, Orange County, Seminole County, Lake County, Polk County, pretty much all of Central Florida). I feel very fortunate to be blessed with the ability to entertain parties and bring joy to many children. I thank God for me giving me the opportunity to have this job, and for allowing me to be successful in it. I look forward to working with you in your party and making it a success!
